Chvrches (also known as Churches) are a Scottish alternative electronic pop band from Glasgow, formed in 2011. The group consists of Lauren Mayberry (vocals), Iain Cook (synthesizers) and Martin Doherty (synthesizers). They are known for their song "Lies". Previously, Mayberry was vocalist for Blue Sky Archives, Cook was a member of Aereogramme / The Unwinding Hours and Doherty was a live member of The Twilight Sad.
