Yellow Fever

There are (kind of) two artists who perform under the name Yellow Fever: 1) Yellow Fever changed their name to YellowFever(no space, capital 'F'). http://www.myspace.com/yellerfever
2) Yellow Fever combined Rock’n Roll music with Latin and Reggae rhythms. The act played together between 1994 - 2004. It was during a Summer in the early 90's that Alex Svenson-Metés, the band’s main song-writer and singer, returned from a Summer job as a cowboy in Colombia with an idea in mind; to combine some Latin sounds he had heard while working in Latin America with traditional alternative rock.

Feeder

Feeder is an award-winning Welsh rock band that formed in Newport, Wales in 1992. With the lead single "Buck Rogers" from their 2001 album Echo Park, Feeder entered the mainstream, around a time manufactured pop was frequently dominating the top 10. After their breakthrough year, their drummer Jon Lee committed suicide in his Miami home in January 2002. The band vowed to continue and would then in October 2002 release "Comfort in Sound"; an album musically and lyrically focused around the band's emotions at the time, and was well-received by critics.

Mackley Drive

Mackley Drive are a five piece band from Essex. Their sound comes from a fusion of their influences. It's a sound that is both eclectic, and accessible. Known also to experiment with odd time signatures and complex chord structures, and with songs stuffed to the brim with pop hooks and melodies. Their lyrics deal with subjects such as isolation, religion, love, loss etc. These attributes combined helps to form a sound that is distinctly unique to them.

Burning Hearts

Le Futur Pompiste, which released one marvelous album in 2004, Your Stories and Your Thoughts, before the vagaries of adult life scattered them far and wide; and Cats On Fire, whose debut long-player, 2007's The Province Complains, captivated all who were lucky enough to hear it (among them the writers at superlative U.K. magazine The Word). It was inevitable that this pair of bands, whose music shares a poise and sophistication rarely heard anywhere, never mind within the modest environs of Finland, would find each other.

Artist Type:

The Gorgeous Colours

The Gorgeous Colours' new EP The Creatures Down Below is the band’s first release since their critically-acclaimed debut album and expands their sound to reflect recent changes in their lineup. It was financed with the help of their fans, who helped make the project happen by taking part in a pledge campaign where they could buy the EP in advance and pledge money in return for exclusive options like limited edition artwork, or the chance to join the band onstage for a song on the launch night (an option taken by one Spanish fan, who flew from Barcelona for the gig!).

Artist Type:

Moxie

There are at least two bands named Moxie. One is from Houston, TX, and there is another in San Diego, CA. The Moxie from Houston formed like many other bands: through a facebook courtship, a midnight Taco Cabana outing, and an STD testing session. Their music could be considered “post-funk," if such a thing existed, and their live shows are worthy of their namesake. Having just completed a national tour this summer (2007) ranging from Texas to New York to Missouri in the Funkwagen, their airport shuttle bus...
