There are two bands called The Race, one hailing from Reading, in England, and the other from Chicago, USA. 1)When The Race released their debut album "Be Your Alibi" in 2006, the acclaim it met with was positive and across the board. Shawn Mullins (born March 8, 1968 in Piedmont hospital, Atlanta, Georgia) is a singer songwriter who specializes in folk rock, Instrumental rock, and adult alternative music. Shawn's voice varies widely standing out along with his rythym acoustical, electric guitar strokes. Shawn travels with his sound man and tour manager, Big Kip Conner. Mullins's earlier work was influenced by acoustic and power-pop groups such as the Violent Femmes, The Producers and the Indigo Girls.

Both hailing from Scottish small towns in Canada, Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac have chosen another musical path; one that channels their parent’s vintage record collection that comprised of the likes of Neil Young and Dolly Parton. Madison Violet came to be nearly 9 years ago after a chance meeting at an appropriately titled restaurant 'The Green Room'. Boomkat is an electronic and pop music duo consisting of brother-and-sister Kellin Manning and Taryn Manning. Their debut album Boomkatalog.One was released in 2003. The first single "The Wreckoning" hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The new EP, "Runaway", is now available on iTunes as of 6th April 2008. In a recent interview with Taryn in October 2005's issue of NYLON, she mentioned that BOOMKat would be back eventually, and that she is currently writing songs for the new album once they find another record label.
Swim Team started making music together in winter of 2007 in a very secluded basement and have now just released an EP called 'Make Notes Have Plans' with Worcester based Label Lockjaw Records, the 5 track has seen stella reviews, a 7/10 rocksound and 4/5 from big cheese magazine, often described as englands pioneering post rock band. There are multiple artists that go under the name Dumb. 1) Dumb has been involved with the Finnish underground hiphop scene since the very early days. Two cassettes, "Dumb Shit!" and "Shotgun Karaoke EP", have been released on Anti-Party Music and the first proper album "Paperwrists" was released in December 2010. In addition to his solo efforts, Dumb has featured on the Blue Phantoms Network collective releases.
