Toby Sligo

Born in a fishing village in England, Toby Sligo is an artist who cites his influences as The Velvet Underground, Mississippi John Hurt and poet Arthur Rimbaud. Writing and performing his own songs, Toby Sligo released his first EP in 2007 which was titled ‘As Pure As The Thames’ and produced by Richard Coombes. The EP was well received and Sligo was praised for the amalgamation of styles, as well as his venture to push the boundaries of acoustic guitar-based blues music by incorporating an electric twist on the vocals.

David Lindley

Multi-instrumentalist David Lindley performs music that redefines the word "eclectic." Lindley, well known for his many years as the featured accompanist with Jackson Browne, and leader of his own band El Rayo-X, has long championed the concept of world music. The David Lindley electro-acoustic performance effortlessly combines American folk, blues, and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy, and Turkish musical sources.

Tim O'Brien

Tim O'Brien (b. March 16, 1954 in Wheeling, West Virginia) is an American bluegrass, old time and celtic musician. O'Brien plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki and mandocello and is an accomplished vocalist. He moved to Boulder, Colorado in the 1970s and became part of the music scene there. In 1978 he founded the bluegrass group Hot Rize. Hot Rize had its own offshoot band called Red Knuckles & the Trailblazers.

Nosowska is an abbreviation of Katarzyna Nosowska (aka Kasia Nosowska), best known as the lead singer of Hey (Polish rock band, she co-founded in 1992). Besides her career with the band, she has released five solo albums, to date. Her solo releases are substantially different in style from that of Hey's. Ian Parker

Howlin' Rain

This Northern Ca group was formed in 2004 by Ethan Miller of Comets On Fire with Ian Gradek. John Moloney (of Sun burnt hand of the man) joined the group to record the first album, self titled and released by Birdman Records. This has caught comparisons with the early Grateful Dead and the ear of label impresario Rick Rubin. Upon Moloney's departure in 2006 the group was recreated to record "Magnificent Fiend", co-released by Birdman and American Records in 2008.

Kastaphor

Kastaphor are a group of like minded people with their own unique vibes, which has melded to form a sound that is hard to pinpoint. Rob (guitar), Ged (bass) and Karl (drums) have been together since 2007, working both with singers and as an instrumental outfit. In August 2009, Emma (vocals) answered an online ad, auditioned and immediately became an integral part of the band. Songs and arrangements have flowed so easily that a debut album has been recorded and is slated for early 2010 release. The band are keen to get out on the road and gig these songs.
