UPDATE: Die Laughing reformed in 2012 to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. On the 8th May it was announced that Die Laughing would be touring with The March Violets on a selection of key UK dates in June 2012, before beginning work on a new album. More information:

History Die Laughing are mainly remembered for their input to the 90s Goth scene but their roots go much further back into the 1980s.

Stampede

Stampede refers to several artists. 1. A NWOBHM band formed in 1981 by song writing duo Reuben and Laurence Archer. The two had previously made inroads into the NWOBHM movement with Lautrec, Lionheart and Wild Horses and toured with the likes of Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Gary Moore. In 1982 the band played the prestigious Reading and Mildenhall festivals - material from which was recorded and released as the band’s first album: The Offical Live Bootleg.

Atomkraft

The roots of Atomkraft date back to the summer of 1979, when Tony ‘Demolition’ Dolan and Paul Spillett got together with the intention to form a band. Initially, going under the name of Moral Fibre and playing Punk Rock, they recruited guitarists Ian Legg and Chris Taylor. Ian Legg then left to be replaced by Ian Drew who also subsequently left. However the band continued to operate as a trio.

Liaison

There are several Bands named Liaison
1. Liaison was a late 80s-mid 90s Christian AOR Rock/Hard Rock Band producing 4 albums. The band was formed by brothers Larry and Tim Melby. 2. Liaison were also a UK progressive rock band from the early 1980s who used to play regularly at the Marquee in London amongst other places. Tracks like 'Only heaven knows' and "a tale of you" (as featured on the Fire in Harmony compilation which also featured bands like Solstice, Pendragon, Haze and Trilogy are powerful and soulful ballads.
