Animals as Leaders

Animals as Leaders is a Washington, D.C. based instrumental progressive metal project by guitarist Tosin Abasi. Their self-titled debut album was released in April 2009 by Prosthetic Records. Animals as Leaders was formed "out of the ashes" of guitarist Tosin Abasi's previous band, Reflux. The heavy metal record label Prosthetic Records saw Abasi's guitar work and asked him to create a solo album for them.

Long Distance Calling

Long Distance Calling is a post rock band based in Münster, Germany. They played their first show and released their first 4 song demo EP DMNSTRTN in late September 2006. They play an instrumental rock music, based on heavy guitar riffing and shaking hands with psychedelic and calm elements. As most bands with this description tend to explore dark and depressive moods, these guys change between timid beauty and hard boiled reality in a tough play, always based on a driving rhythm section.
The demo EP DMNSTRTN became "demo of the month" in VISIONS magazine and ROCK HARD magazine.

William Basinski

William Basinski (Houston, 1958), a New York-based classically-trained clarinetist and saxophonist, specializes in compositions for loops and drones. He began experimenting with compositions for piano and tape that created a melancholy ambience via looped and overdubbed melodies with Variations - A Movement in Chrome Primitive (1980), released on Variations - A Movement in Chrome Primitive (Durtro, 2002 - Die Stadt, 2004), and A Red Score in Tile (1979), released on A Red Score in Tile (3 Poplars, 2003).

Banyan

Banyan is an / band with heavy , , and influence, based in Los Angeles, California. The leader and co-founder is Stephen Perkins, who first played drums for Jane's Addiction (1986-1991, plus later regroupings), and then for Porno For Pyros. He co-founded the group with David Turin. The core members of the band are Nels Cline on guitar, Willie Waldman on trumpet and Ex-Minutemen Mike Watt on bass. Mike Watt also sings on some Banyan songs.
